CAT5, creative coding, stage and street light, stage and graphic elements
Created in collaboration with Fairgrounds, CAT5 is a narrative, graphic diorama that invites guests to discover hidden elements and clues from within the Fairgrounds universe while challenging their perception. Visitors will be confronted with a monochromatic, lush landscape full of textures and objects; under these conditions it can be hard to discern subtle clues. As they respond to prompts, visitors will discover that things take on a new meaning under a different light, leaving them with a sense of wonder and discovery for what might be hiding in plain sight.
Fernando studied Industrial Design at Rhode Island School of Design, starting his undergraduate degree with a background in building/making and leaving with a passion for technology. As a senior technologist at Tellart, he works on the Research and Development team helping to prototype solutions and effectively implement adjustments and improvements along the way; always with a human-centric design perspective. His latest work explores the relationship between human perception of individualism and the natural world preference on the networks.
